“in the warm California sun..”

Yesterday, Sunday, I went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with Richard.

When we arrived, around 11 am, some slight overcast hovered over the beach.  Pedestrians were layered in sweaters and scarves, anticipating a cold and dreary Sunday afternoon.  I knew they were gonna get smoked…

By mid-day, it was about 78 degrees, the skies were clear blue, the sun was intensely beaming, and the skims were primo.  We, along many other beach enthusiats, burned the bottom of our feet-among several other things.

Before we left, Richard and I had a 30-foot stretch of the shore all to ourselves (amidst a densely populated beach) shaped in a pipe-like fashion, reserved strictly for skimboarding.  Simply put, the day was close to perfect.

Just goes to show. Never underestimate a day at the beach.

And oh yeah, I bought another book today. Anyone heard of Guy Kawasaki?
